Objectives

  • To encourage the students to think creatively and generate innovative ideas leading to the generation of new knowledge, ideas and inventions.
  • To provide a platform to showcase and to take their idea/ innovation forward to a logical conclusion.
  • To inculcate a culture of innovation driven entrepreneurship through student projects.
  • To maintaining regular interplay with the enterprise via Seminars, Guest Lectures, Conferences, Corporate Meets, Personality Development and Communication Skill.

Mechanism

Providing various services including information to budding student entrepreneurs.

Organizing workshops, conferences, Skill development program and symposia with joint participation of the faculty and the Industries.   

Foster better linkages between the Parent Institution, Industries and R&D institutions in the region and other related organizations engaged in promoting Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) including NGOs and other Voluntary Organization.   

To respond effectively to the emerging challenges and opportunities relating to Micro Enterprises.

Conduct research work and survey for identifying entrepreneurial opportunities.

Arranging visits to industries for prospective entrepreneurs.

Student counselling and guidance for career development

Roles and Responsibilities

  • The Chairman of the EDC shall have the power to call a meeting of Entrepreneurship Development Cell
  • Organize the seminar on emerging challenges and opportunities in small, medium scale and micro industry.
  • The minutes of the meetings of the committee shall be written by the Member secretary of EDC.
  • Action taken report of previous meeting shall be prepared by Member secretary of EDC and be presented on next meeting.
  • After the end of Academic Year Member secretary of EDC shall submit a Report to the EDC
